anyone else having WiFi calling and short text issues on Home network
I have been having text verification issues along with visual voicemail and wifi calling issues for months now but I have found something that almost totally eliminates the issues for me. As an information tidbit there were no issues with WiFi turned off so I would go that way between my attempts at investigating, especially when I knew a call was coming or had verification texts needed. I found that if I connect to the Xfinity Mobile hotspot supplied by my Comcast X1 modem and uninstall all updates to the Google WiFi Provisioner app it is almost flawless, any deviation brings immediate problems again. I can find nothing anywhere about this and it has been a long trip for me to get to satisfactory performance from my 2024 Xfinity purchased Motorola razr. I did spend about half an hour with Xfinity support but whatever was done didn't help the issue, it did however result in much better reception signals. Another issue was when attempting to make a call I would get a blurb about no cellular connection and to connect to wifi to make a call although both cellular signal is shown and razr was connected to my home wifi; as stated all that went away when connected to Xfinity Mobile hotspot from my own equipment.

As a follow up I did acquire a previous version of Google WiFi Provisioner and updated to that and have been trying to use my Home network with varying success although using Xfinity WiFi still has no issues. I have even updated Google WiFi Provisioner to the current version. I can look at my visual voicemail and it looks 'normal' but have found calling voicemail will let me know more reliably because if things are working I will be able to make the call, if not I will get the 'connect to WiFi to make a call' message. For now I have Xfinity Mobile set to connect automatically but do not have my Home network set to connect because I am still testing. I am thinking there has been a 'glitch' that might have been corrected with the Google WiFi Provisioner version changes. I did disable it earlier but then could not connect to Xfinity WiFi so went with uninstall all updates and then looked for previous versions and found my razr was two versions behind and updated to the next to last version and finally from the Google Play Store.
