Concern Regarding Suspicious Identity Verification Request

Dear Xfinity Support Team,

When I applied for a mobile line, I was asked to provide my SSN and date of birth, after which I received an order number. Subsequently, I received an email requesting additional identity verification. However, upon clicking the link provided in that email, I was redirected to the following website: cfwebt.caspian.probity.cloud.

This domain does not appear to be affiliated with Xfinity and seems highly suspicious, potentially a phishing attempt. For security reasons, I did not proceed further.

Could you please confirm whether this request originated from Xfinity and advise on the appropriate next steps?

Hello @user_ut35om, thank you for taking the time to leave a post. When signing up for mobile, we do use a system called iGuard, which allows you to enter your secure data, which is linked to our system, from your Touch tone phone. We would be glad to check your account to see if the email was sent from us. If you could send our team a direct message with your full name, the name listed on the account (if different), and the service address associated with your account, I'd be more than happy to look into this for you.

To send a Direct Message, please click on the “Direct Message” icon in the top-right corner of the screen, next to the bell icon, click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon, then type or select "Xfinity Support". Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window and press Enter to send your message and initiate a live session.
