Data Usage

Yesterday I received a message telling that my GB usage was .85 yesterday and today it shows I'm at 1.03.  I didn't want to exceed the 1 GB limit so I'm not using any function that uses data.  I always make a conscious effort not to access or use data, which you can see in my history. When I saw that it was .85 GB, I thought if I didn't use any function that uses data I would stay below 1 GB.  Unfortunately, somehow I went over the limit.  Is there a way to turn off my ability to use data when I reach 1 GB?

Hello user_d4df9c, thanks for taking the time to reach out on our Forums. We value you being a customer with us and my team is here to support you. I certainly understand being conscious of how much data you're using to ensure you do not exceed the 1 GB. Although I absolutely understand how that would be beneficial in helping you not go over the 1 GB limit, unfortunately, at this time, there is no way to turn off the ability to use the data once you reach the 1 GB.

I will absolutely get this feedback passed along to our Xfinity Mobile development team for further review.

In the meantime. if you feel our Unlimited Mobile plan may work better, you can switch from By the Gig to Unlimited at anytime. You also have the ability to switch back to By The Gig if needed as well. To switch your plan or view the latest plans, please visit My Account online or the Xfinity app. You can also follow this link https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/how-to-switch-data-options, for more information or step-by-step instructions on how to switch your plan.
