Erratic service for our 2 cells phones

Our 2 cell phones have had little to no service in the past 2 days.  There are others in our area having the same issue. usually xfinity notifies us when there is an issue and gives an ~ time when it should be resolved. Xfinitniy assistant is useless and cannot get through to a live person using the phone number. What is the status of this issue and will we get credited for the days without service.
