i changed my the password on my account and now i can't get emails

I had to change my password in order to view my xfinity bill.  Now my email is asking for the IMAP account password. It will not take the password just created. I have logged into my account online so I know the password is correct. What can I do now?

Thanks for posting on our community forums for assistance with your email concerns, user_6jb9su. I understand that after changing your password, your email app is no longer accepting it, and I’m sorry for the inconvenience this has caused. This typically happens because the email app is still saving the old password. To resolve this, please remove the Comcast/Xfinity email account from your email app, then add it back using the new password you just created. This will force the app to fully sync with the updated credentials. Please let us know if that resolves the issue.

I'm having the same issue because my account was hacked and I had to change my password. Now won't verify name or password. I can access via your web site but not my mac email. was working fine until i had to change password. Xfinity compromised our phone number and my email account.

This does not resolve the issue.

user_36d126 Can you access your Xfinity email from the online email portal?

Hi @user_ldpzav,

Sometimes our browsers can autofill passwords which can lead to that old password being entered. Have you utilized to the "eye" icon in the password text box after entering in your password to confirm that you entered the new password?
