Outbound calls show my caller id as someone else

When i sometimes make outbound calls, the caller ID that shows up is not my name.  What do I need to do to fix this?

CindyG10308 Hello! Thank you so much for using our Forums and for taking the time out of your busy week to contact us. We understand that you are having issues with your caller id showing incorrectly, if this is still occuring our team is here to help. Can you confirm if this is something new that just started happening recently? Here is a great link https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/about-caller-id with some steps to follow to troubleshoot your called id, please let me know if you have followed any of those and if they helped.

@XfinityJorge

Thank you for the reply, the link you provided did not provide a solution to the problem. Not sure how long the issue has been ocurring.  John Gerard was told when he calls into his place of employment on his iphone purchased through xFinity, the caller ID on their phone system shows the name "Dean Peterson" instead.

We appreciate your assistance in finding a resolution to this problem.  Thank you.  Cindy

We are more than happy to assist further. We will need some additional information to better assist.

Please send us a direct chat message with your full name and complete service address to “Xfinity Support”. To do so, click on the chat icon located at the top right of this forums page.

To send a "Direct Message" to Xfinity Support:

Click "Sign In" if necessary

Click the "Direct Messaging" icon or  https://forums.xfinity.com/direct-messaging

Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there

As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list

An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line

Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window and press Enter to send it.
