PHone Locked!

I paid my phone off over 48 hours ago and it is still network locked. I called them and they said it is not locked but when I tried to switch over to a new carrier, it wouldn't let me download a esim because the phone was still locked to Xfinity. I tried calling and talking to people all day yesterday and everyone acted like they was clueless and didn't know what to do. I am currently unable to use my phone because it was already ported with another carrier but it cant be used. Now I'm seeing everyone is having the same problems and Xfinity doesn't do anything about it. How can Xfinity say phone is no longer locked but when I go to "about phone" it says network locked?" Why are there so many issues with this from customers? Xfinity also deleted my account as soon as they seen I was trying to port so I can't even chat to an agent because my account number no longer exists
