Secondary sim card on xfinity financed device

Hi,

I am planning to buy an Apple iPhone 15 with Xfinity Mobile on a finance plan. Will this allow me to activate another secondary eSIM card on the Xfinity-financed device provided that the device is not paid in full?

  • Line 1: Xfinity Mobile
  • Line 2: T-Mobile, Airtel or AT&T (primarily for international travel)

I am sure if the device is unlocked then I can add as many lines as the phone supports. Will Xfinity Mobile allow a secondary line along with it?

I can pay the full amount to get unlocked but the promotion credits stop. So, I am stuck. I cannot take a phone that serves my purpose.

Hello, @user_uc5e07

If the customer is enrolled in a device payment plan (DPP), they must pay off the phone in full before Xfinity Mobile can unlock it. You cannot purchase a mobile device without adding a line of service.

@XfinityThomasC I just spoke to a representative who said that after 2 months I will be able to add a UK eSIM to my phone on payment plan. Can you confirm. I asked serval times and even asked him to add a note to my account. Is that accurate?

@user_awi3ip we offer eSIM for phones on payment plans but we are a USA based company. Are you using the phone overseas? We do offer Global Travel Pass ( https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/global-travel-pass ) which allows you to pay a flat rate for unlimited calls and text messages while abroad in over 170 covered countries. For the first 45 days after activation, you can only make calls to the US, Canada, Mexico, and within any country you are visiting. After this period, you'll be able to call any country worldwide.
