visual voicemail

I cannot access Visual Voicemail from home.  I have a Pixel 10 Pro Max.   I get the message Servers Are Unavailable.

I CAN use Visual Voicemail when I am away from home.

I can retrieve message via *86

At home I need to use WiFi Calling due to poor cell signal of -117 dBm 17 asu.

Hello @earplug and thank you for reaching out on our Xfinity Community forums with your concern.  Visual voicemail is an amazing tool, but it does have some limitations.

Visual voicemail typically requires a cellular handshake in order to sync with the servers.  Even if Wi-Fi calling is available, the initial syncing, downloading, and notification of visual voicemail messages rely on active mobile data connections to communicate with the Xfinity network.

Please let us know if you have additional questions. We'd be happy to help!

Not necessarily accurate. Active cell tower is not needed. We have 3 Samsung android phones; 2 of them (A15 using pSIM, S24 using pSIM) rarely have mobile/cell data turned on, and the third (A17 using eSIM) never has mobile data on at all. As a practical matter, almost all our calling is wifi. Yet, only the S24 does not have carrier-managed voicemail, nor even has the voicemail app installed. It did once have it, but it mysteriously disappeared sometime in the past couple of months. The other 2 phones' voicemails work just fine. Like other posters, I have spent many frustrating hours chatting - and actually talking on the phone - to support people. They always say they need to figure it out, but none of them ever call back.
