Xfinity Mobile service is unusable in my area - need account and cancellation assistance

I recently transferred my existing phone from T-Mobile to Xfinity Mobile. Since the transfer, my mobile service has been extremely unreliable. My phone mainly works on Wi-Fi, calls drop, and when I leave home I frequently have no usable cellular service.

I have already tried live chat support, but the chat disconnected before my account and cancellation questions were resolved.

At this point, I need help reviewing:

  • whether I have any contract or commitment
  • any cancellation or early termination fees
  • any credits available because the service has not worked reliably
  • what is required if I decide to transfer my number back to T-Mobile or another carrier

I brought my own phone from T-Mobile and did not purchase the device from Xfinity.

Because my mobile service is unreliable, I need to handle this through written support rather than by phone. Can an Xfinity representative please assist me by direct message?

user_0q186q Thank you for creating a post on our Community Forums. I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing trouble with your mobile service, and we'd love to help. To answer your questions, there shouldn't be an agreement term or contract with the XM service, since you have brought your own device to use. If you still need assistance and have more questions, please let us know and we can look into reviewing your account and service directly.

@XfinityThomasD

Thank you. I do not want to cancel my service. I received excellent assistance today and my service is now working. However, prior to today I was unable to properly use my Xfinity Mobile service because of the activation issues. Would you please review my account and see if a courtesy credit can be applied for the period I was without usable service?

user_0q186q I'm glad to hear the service is working now. We can help escalate this over to our Xfinity Mobile Executive team to see if a courtesy credit can be applied. Could you please send our team a Direct Message with your name and service address? Our team can take a further look at this issue.

To send a Direct Message:

Click "Sign In" if necessary

• Click the "Direct Messaging chat" icon

• Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon

• Type "Xfinity Support" in the "To:" line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list that appears. The "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line

• Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

• Press Enter to send it
