Xfinity Port Issue

Hello,

I recently attempted to transfer my phone service from Xfinity to Verizon. I was informed by Verizon that I would need to pay off the phones to get them unlocked before I could transfer lines. I proceeded to pay Xfinity hundreds of dollars to unlock these devices. While I was on the phone with Verizon making the transfer, the line cut out and I lost phone service. After roughly 6 hours of talking with customer support on both sides, it was determined that the primary issue was that Xfinity had a "carrier lock" on my device.

Over 6 hours and my device has not been unlocked by Xfinity, so my entire family is left completely without service. Xfinity Agents have told me it may take 24 hours, or it may take 5-7 days. These timeframes are unacceptable. I assume I will receive bills from both Xfinity and Verizon at the end of the month, but what about the gap of time where I couldn't have service with either because my family's phones were being held hostage by Xfinity?

I have spoken with agents about expediting this process and they have given me numbers to call, despite me informing them that I do not have the ability to make any phone calls due to the very issue I am trying to address. Is there any other platform where I can work with Xfinity to get this problem address as soon as possible? Verizon has been very responsive, but informs me their hands are tied until the work is done on Xfinity's side.

Respectfully,

Xfinity Customer
