Cablecard not working

Hello,

I have a TiVo device with a cablecard.  It was working fine and then my internet went down.  Once it came back none of my channels are working any more.   They all say "This channel is not authorized.  Contact your cable provider for more information (V58).

I've tried going through phone support, but wasn't able to get to anyone to help me.   Would appreciate help getting this resolved.

Thank you

Unfortunately, it sounds like Cable Cards are sunset according to this thread and the discussion indicates you would need to get an X1 Box to receive Xfinity programming

... it sounds like Cable Cards are sunset ...

CableCards are on the ropes, but not quite down for the count just yet. https://forums.xfinity.com/conversations/customer-service/disappointed-in-cable-card-support-being-discontinued/6848ae857c428259ea31e0bb?commentId=6848b1d110321c7b58610169 gives a more balanced explanation of their status.

@user_nuo234 Thanks for adding a post and telling us about the card. Pair it back to your box with the steps here https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/pair-activate-cablecard. If there is trouble, be sure to call the number listed on that page to get help with cable card activations.

I have done all the steps outlined and called the number listed.  The agents I have talked to don't know very much about cable cards and were not able to help.  It would be great if I could talk to someone who is knowledgeable regarding cable cards.

Thank you so much for sharing those details with us, @user_nuo234! With the Cable Cards, Xfinity will no longer provide or support CableCARDs as of October 24, 2024, meaning you cannot get new CableCARDs or replacements for existing ones, though currently-installed cards will continue to work for now. Since the devices are considered end of life, we are very limited on troubleshooting steps. We can attempt to send a hit to the card on our end, and see what we can do. Can you please send us a DM to get started?

Please send us a DM with your full name and address to Xfinity Support.
