DVR jumps back when fast forwarding

My dvr regularly jumps back to the start of a recorded program when I am trying to fast forward. VERY ANNOYING!

Are you noticing this with particular programs or times those shows were recorded or does it seem random?

What troubleshooting steps have you tried so far?

Issue happens when using our LG smart TV and the Comcast remote. Notice it most often with sports programs, but that is what I primarily record so could be an issue for other shows as well.

Also having issues with the mute button response when using the Comcast remote. Muting starts and stops in a split second, then jumps to a LG audio control menu when mute is pressed again.

user_ihcn56 Thank you for those details. It sounds like the box is having issues communicating with the system. When was the last time the box was reset/unplugged from the power?
