If possible, need two CableCARDs validated

Greetings.

I have two Cisco (Scientific-Atlanta) CableCARDs that, up until today, were working just fine. They are inserted into Ceton InfiniTV 4 devices. I went to

https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/pair-activate-cablecard

which links to

https://cablecardactivation.xsp.comcast.net/

at which I can see both CableCARDs (I verified the serial numbers and MACs), and see that they are paired with the correct Host IDs of the Ceton devices. The "activation" fails, of course.

I spoke with numerous people at Comcast's first tier support, one of whom claims to have spoken with techs who deal with these issues, and said he was told, Good news! We can fix that. He attempted to transfer me to them, but that failed. The next rep I spoke with gave me the, Sorry, can't help you. Get an Xfinity cable box spiel.

I've seen in these forums posts from people reporting success in getting CableCARDs re-validated. This is my hope in posting this. If it fails, I guess Comcast loses money, as I will cancel my TV package and pay other companies for streaming.

Ironically, it's probably the Customer Loyalty discount I received on Sept. 15th that triggered this. Oops.

If you need me to DM you, please let me know.  Thanks in advance.

A quick update: after deciding a single X1 DVR would suffice, and not wanting to give up DVR services, to which I've been addicted for 20+ years, I called Xfinity to check on local availability, pricing and any possible deals (there's a post in these forums by an Xfinity employee stating that they are providing a cable box free for a year due to the lack of support for CableCARDs; that was two months ago; just sayin' ;-)

While on the call I thought to shutdown the two PCs and remove the cards to return them at the local Xfinity store. BUT I noticed that one was recording something. I checked the Ceton diagnostics tool, and sure enough, the two CableCARD errors (re: signal and validation) were now green. Most importantly, I could watch live TV.

Perhaps this squeaky wheel got a little grease. I dunno. I'm crossing my fingers (but not holding my breath) that this fix will hold. So, thanks are in order for the mysterious backend Xfinity support people, as they are the only way this could have happened. Reckon it was worth 3+ hours on the phone.

Perhaps there is hope in persistence for others. Good luck.

Greetings, @Sancho12! I am glad to hear the cards are working once again! Yay! If we complete our troubleshooting steps and the issue is unresolved a ticket will be opened for the advanced team to look into this. From what you have said, it sounds like they fixed the issue. They ensure the cards a listed properly in all of our systems, including the back systems, and send out hits to the cards. You shouldn't have any further problems from here.
