Service outage due to downed tree limb - Tivo no longer able to access channels

Hi!

I have a Tivo that has been active for years.  After storms in our area and a lengthy service outage, it is no longer connected to Xfinity.

We have had repeated strong storms in our area this summer, and there have been three separate times over three months when a large tree limb fell across the cable line, ripping it from the house and cutting the service.  Xfinity is now burying the line to the house to avoid this in the future.

We don't watch a ton of live TV, but this week I tried to watch live TV and was met by a "this channel is not authorized" kind of message on all of the channels.  The last show was recorded on the Tivo on August 2nd.  Everything recorded after that was blank.

How can we get our Tivo reconnected?

Prior to posting this, I reached out to the online chat via the app and was unsuccessful in getting someone to understand the issue.  They kept telling me I should bring my cable box into the store for replacement.  Not sure they understood the issue, even after multiple attempts to explain it.  That's what brought me here.

user_qob4oa Hi there, and welcome to the Xfinity Community Forums. Thank you for taking the time to explain what's been going on. I can definitely understand why this would be frustrating, especially after dealing with multiple storms.. It sounds like you've already done quite a bit of troubleshooting and haven't been able to get the help you were looking for through chat. I'd be happy to take a closer look and see how I can help. Please send me a direct message with your full name and service address, and I'll review the account, check the status of your CableCARD/TiVo equipment, and see what may have changed following the service work that was completed.
