BET The Oval episodes cut short in on demand

Hey XFinity, I started watching a BET show called "Tyler Perry's The Oval," and I just finished episode two via the XFinity on-demand service.  The episode cut off roughly 8-10 minutes early.  I've tried reloading the episode and forwarding to the end and rebooting my dvr box - the episode continues to cut off early.  I then tried to go to www.bet.com to stream the last 8-10 minutes, but there's no option for XFinity users to login there to stream their episodes.  WTH am I supposed to do?  I'm only on episode two with 16 episodes to go so far in the season, and if this is what I can expect from the rest of the episode, I'm gonna be really upset.  It's a really bad telenovella, and everyone knows the worthwhile parts of a show like that are in the last few minutes of the cliffhanger.

Episode one cut out early, but thankfully it got everything to me but the end credits.  Episode one also had some weird glitch where the opening scene of the series played twice in a row.

Fix the episodes and get an agreement built with BET so that XFinity users can login there!

I’m having the same problem. It happens with a lot of the episodes.

If you go to BET+ online you can get a 7 day free trial and watch the FULL episodes. That’s what I’m doing until Xfinity comments or fixes it.

Good grief. It’s now more than a month later, and nobody in charge has commented. After I saw my 3rd or 4th *Comcast* promo for this show (when viewing On Demand of shows from other networks) I decided to give it a try.

After watching episode 1, I was all about to start a thread named “Nobody watching hyped show boo hoo Tyler Perry” because of the cutoff. But then I saw this thread. People are watching. (Y’all surely noticed that the beginning repeated itself after the first commercial so that surely is related to cutoff at end.)

I also downloaded BET Now app to discover all we missed was “next on”. But I am now thinking to stop any further time investments given others’ feedback above that cutoffs are worse in other episodes.

1) It’s just sad and bad business that Comcast doesn’t work with BET to fix this stuff...especially since Comcast is airing promos for it.

2) Per above, I did notice that BET Now didn’t prompt for any Comcast username/password. If there is a free 7 day period as of download, I hope they allow viewing un-cutoff episodes after 7 days by supplying Comcast Credentials. (Do they? I’ll find out soon enough.)

P.S. S1E1 was also cutoff on Xfinity Streaming app, not just the stuff viewable on non-X1 cable boxes.

Most of the episodes continue to cut off and miss about 10 minutes of actual content- not just upcoming episode previews. Still so frustrating! Yet I keep watching 🙄

The BET app doesn’t support Xfinity... I downloaded the BET app and contacted them when I didn’t see Xfinity or Comcast.
I got hooked on Oval after the first episode. I hoped that the cutoff was just a fluke for season 1 episode 2... I am distressed to hear that it happens frequently 😠

I wonder if the cutoffs are intentional. BET’s promo for this show ends with “you’ve got to watch it live”. (Perhaps implying one must do so to see all of the episode.)

If this is gamesmanship from BET, Comcast shouldn’t put up with it. Either demand they provide all minutes of any episode, or remove the episode. It sheds bad light on Comcast too, otherwise.
