On Demand charges

Why does xfinity charge for almost one half of the episodes of an On Demand show?  If I try to watch a season of a show, after 2 or 3 episodes, Xfinity demands I pay for the next few.  Then there are a few more free and then the charge demands begin again.  Makes it useless to watch any On Demand shows.

Hello @user_goq1xq thank you for reaching out! The cost all depends on the show. Typically, you do have to pay for every few episodes. Does this help clarify your question?

Makes sense but is unacceptable.  I was sold your TV partly due to the fact that your sales force told me On Demand was FREE.  Turns out to be yet another lied by xfinity.  I have joined several other chats and every single person there was also lied to about this.

Thank you for your feedback @user_goq1xq, we are happy to forward it and understand where you are coming from. Some shows and movies on Xfinity On Demand may have a cost associated with them because the content owners and networks set the pricing and availability of their programming—not Xfinity. While many titles are included with your subscription at no additional charge, others are offered as rentals or purchases based on the specific licensing agreements media companies establish. Please let us know if you have any other questions or concerns we can assist with.

The On Demand we are talking about are old seasons of various channels.  We spoke to TLC at length about this.  Their CEO's office told us that they NEVER charge for single episodes.  They said that this is all xfinity and your greed.

We appreciate your feedback as we are always looking for ways to improve our customer experience @user_goq1xq. Feedback can also be left on our website here https://www.xfinity.com/support/svp-contact-form. Regrettably, we’re not able to change which shows or episodes include a charge. Pricing is determined by the content owners and networks, and some TV episodes may require a fee depending on your current subscription package. I completely understand not wanting to pay additional costs, and we’ll be sure to pass your feedback along to the appropriate teams. If there’s anything else we can assist you with, please let us know — we’re here to help!

Since your customers relied on your sales staff stating that On Demand is free, this is fraud and a crime.  Best you tend to it before your customers do.
