On demand programs with Xfinity stream app take 3 minutes to load

On-demand programs using the Xfinity stream app on a Roku TV and an iOS device take 3 minutes to load  Only time it works normally is on cellular on iOS devices. Technician has indicated speed and signal are good for my router and modem which are not Xfinity devices but approved. I have followed all of the suggested fixes. Still no solution. Other subscription services load quickly. My issue is only with the Xfinity streaming app. My Xfinity technician even reached out to another employee who was at home in front of his Roku TV, and he is having the same problem. Needless to say very frustrating for the money I am spending every month.

Hello @sarasing Sorry to hear that the stream app is operating slowly. We appreciate you trying some of the suggested fixes. We can certainly try and troubleshoot it and see if we can locate the issue. Have you tried it on any other devices beside the 2 you mentioned?

Now everything is working again. Too bad Xfinity can’t identify a known issue and give a heads up they are working on it providing an estimated fix date. It would save a great deal of wasted support and tech visits.

@sarasing Let us know if the issue returns. Tech visits are not usually something we would recommend for stream app issues unless we are seeing internet problems on our end. We can escalate these types of issues to our back end engineers, and they would be able to let us know if it is already and issue they are fixing.
