Paramount+ Xfinity Frustration

I am beyond frustrated with this also.  I was charged for a year of Paramount + that I didnt want. I noticed the charge 10 days after it showed up and went into a local xfinity store and an employee said he will put in a request to cancel and i should expect a full refund. but cannot log in to watch anything. I have spent hours on numerous calls with Xfinity.  I was told this is a Paramount + issue and i had tk contact them. When I spoke to Paramount + the woman was frustrated Xfinity "keeps telling people this". I gave her my information and of course she cannot find me in their system because...it is billed through Xfinity and thay they need to fix it. I called Xfinity again and finally put me on hold to talk to a supervisor. This guy said it is a Paramount + issue and said I needed to call Paramount+. Reading online how to cancel using the Xumo box, i tried to access Paramount +.  However when i do, when you are on Paramount + activation page, it does not have Xfinity as a supported provider. I am working professional and I dont have time to keep calling people. So you are charging me for something I dont want...and you both say its the others problem. Let me say this, I wont pay for something I dont want and won't use.  This is ridiculous that there is not a plan in place to fix this.

To xfinity users reading this post.. I followed the instructions the xfinity support posted and they decline a refund. I have also contacted Paramount Plusand because this was done through xfinity, Paramount Plus cannot see that i have an account with them so they cannot help me. They specifically told me this is an xfinity issue. What is also frustrating is that when I try to access Paramount Plus on Xumo stream box, it shows it under xfinity subscriptions, but I cannot link it to Paramount Plus. According to Paramount Plus, xfinity is not a provider that they can link accounts with. Whatever the truth is, it needs to come out because I am not the only one who has had this issue and these companies are taking money that isnt theirs.

I have the same problem with Xfinity and paramount customer service each telling me to contact the other to resolve the issue. I have spent well over 3 hours on phone and chat box with each company all to no avail. At 10pm last night the 4th Xfinity agent promised to have a supervisor call me in the morning. An agent completely unfamiliar with my case called at 7am and told me no supervisors were available until Monday but that I should go to my local Xfinity store and they could fix it...which I did and of course was told they did not have access to any billing accounts and could not fix it and gave the number for Xfinity customer service. Sounds like this is a pretty common problem which may require a legal or legislative solution eventually but very frustrating in the interim for us lowly consumers.

I think we need to escalate this. It is illegal and is wrong!
