Peacock - resume

Typically when I watch an On Demand program and stop in the middle it will resume where I left off. I've found with Peacock that this doesn't happen, it doesn't remember where you stopped and will just restart from the beginning the next time you access that program.

I realize Peacock is new, would you please fix this.

Ok, thank you for confirming! This is due to the fact that we have yet to integrate the continue watching feature between X1 and Peacock. If you launch from X1, there is currently no feedback loop to let the device know what you watched while on Peacock; this will be available in the near term future. In the interim, if you were to launch Peacock directly, and then select the episode/movie from the continue watching row, you should get an option to play from the beginning or where you left off.

I am having problems with Peacock freezing up and or the audio going out when trying to listen to important dialogue between characters. I have been trying to watch Yellowstone but every time I do it freezes or the sound goes out and there is terrible buffering happening.

Hi I have had these issues for a long time. New box, still doing it multiple resets, refreshes, spotting result.  Now cant even chat with them...If we didnt need Internet for work would have moved on to another vendor.

Hi @flash333

Could you confirm whether you are lauching the Peacock content directly from X1 or are you launching the app and searching for the content within it?

I launch from X1. My proceedure is: search in X1 for the show, select the show, choose "Episodes", select the episode I want and "play on Peacock".

I've tried both ways. Chat support claims they sent issue to "elevation department" even scheduled a call, to talk, about?  Phone app says Comcast doing work in my area over a month, not getting clear answers or solutions. A discount or credit would be nice while Comcast sorts out thier issues. Thanks

Hi @purterbed ,

Could you state what issue you are having? Is it with Peacock content or general STB issues?

Launched from app, voice drops off then will resume, sometimes program just stops. Any word from the escalation department or specific repairs/upgrades/issues nearby?

I have the same problem watching Yellowstone. Audio cutting out, buffering and then it just stops playing. Peacock on Xfinity is just horrible and unwatchable!!

Let's all try to be productive adults. Forum Gods, Peacock, as used either direct search on X1 redirect to Peacock to play, or opening Peacock and starting a show, either way the audio loses sync and randomly will lose audio entirely in the viewing process. Peacock help officially says it's a connection problem, as in the X1 box doesn't have enough speed to buffer correctly. I'd hope this would be something Xfinity could resolve.

I completely agree, its very frustrating when the audio freezes and the constant buffering.

I have same issue. Locks up when you pause or when in the second episode it makes it about 15 minutes in and it locks up or freezes. Get out of peacock wait a few minutes. Go back in and it works for 5 minutes and freezes again or sound goes out.

Same thing symptoms whether launching from X1 or directly off my smart TV. Hard wired or wifi. It worked fine before modem was replaced. Previous modem Disney Plus would do exactly the same thing?
