Xfinity Voice — Voicemail capacity (Answered)
***Updated 8/31/2026***
With Xfinity Voice, there are limits to the amount of voicemails you can keep and how long you can keep them. Learn more about those limits.
Voicemail capacity
Your Xfinity Voice voicemail inbox can store 10MB of audio. This is about 85 minutes.
Once you reach this limit, callers can't leave any more voicemails on your account.
When you're close to your limit, you'll get email and a voice message when accessing your voicemail inbox letting you know your inbox is almost full and how to fix it.
To open more space in your voicemail inbox:
- Go to the Options menu.
- Select Send to Trash.
- Empty the trash bin. Your deleted voicemails still count towards your storage limit until you empty your trash bin.
- Important: Deleting from trash permanently removes the files from the server. After that time, it cannot be recovered.
You can also save voicemails to your computer as MP3 files. To do so, click Download Voicemail under the OPTIONS menu.
Voicemail retention
You can keep your voicemail for two years on the Xfinity Voice portal. After two years, the voicemail will be automatically deleted.
If a voicemail is important to you, you should download it to your phone or computer.
