2 product discount

I had the 300 MB internet with the Xfinity voice plan. My bill reflected a $20 discount on voice. I moved up to 1G still keeping Xfinity voice.

I was told that I lose the discount and now voice is $40.00 Is this accurate

Thanks for reaching out to us. Great question! With our new next-generation plans, if you have Internet and voice services, you no longer receive the 2 product $20 discount and would be billed $40.00 for the Xfinity voice line. https://www.xfinity.com/digital/offers/plan-builder?autolocalization=9.SC-0000

I suppose this is the best response.Although ,I had 2 services prior to the upgrade.I still have 2 services, yet the discount is removed. This is confusing

@user_8p8ba3 Indeed, and yes that will happen when there are mixed generations of service. Keeping everything in a grandfathered state would retain the multiproduct discount, as the current generation of services no longer qualify for that discount method.

Still on the subject matter of upgrade. Its been a few weeks since I visited the store to upgrade to 1G and exchange the XB7 for an XB8 as provided by store rep.Days after the visit, I’m getting emails to swap the XB8 for another modem to get the best results for the best experience. I don’t know what this model is, but I’m sure it has been available way before my upgrade.

@user_8p8ba3 The XB8 you picked up from the store is fully optimized to handle your 1-Gig speed tier. Those emails you received were likely automated system notifications triggered right around the time of your upgrade order.

You can always go to https://www.xfinity.com/equipmentupdate to see if you're eligible for an equipment update.
