Bait and Switch
A representative offered me a specific promotion as a condition of switching my mobile service to Xfinity. Based on that promise, I agreed and spent hours moving 4 lines to Xfinity.
We could not complete porting the final two lines last night due to port protection that needed to be turned off from at&t. I was told that everything was set in the system and that once at&t turned off the port protection we could complete the porting process and get the new phones on order. I was told I could not get the phones on order until the lines were active on xfinity.
After calling back today and trying to explain to the service agent, and asking several times if he had notes from yesterday, the service agent completed the activation of the remaining lines. He then informed me that the offer could no longer be honored, perhaps because it expired last night, or that I might be ineligible now that the lines are all active.
Tried to chat again and was disconnected after friendly initial conversation.
