Disappointing Customer Service

I needed a device unlocked as I am traveling outside of USA. Xfinity would not unlock it until I paid off the balance for the device. I was not told that I would loose the monthly device credit for the device if I pay the balance. After I noticed missing credit, I chatted with Xfinity customer care and I was told that they will refund the credit for the past months to my credit card and credit will apply going forward. When I didn't see the credit for 3 weeks, I contact them again. They said it's taken care and even gave a confirmation number. After not seeing the credit again, I called them. Now they are telling me that as I paid off the device there will be no credit. When I explained that I was given wrong information, a customer service supervisor told me they will take an action on their customer service people who have given me wrong information but they can't do anything to give the credit. I have been a Comcast / Xfinity customer for a very long time. This is a very disappointing customer experience or service. They gave wrong information multiple times. I would like to connect with some one from customer relations department to share this experience. I hope they can fix this so no other customer needs to experience this. I will not continue as a customer

user_kseuqi Good morning. I'm sorry to read of such a poor experience you have had with needing the phone unlocked before travel. I know how important it is to stay connected especially while traveling.
With the mobile device credit, the credit is applied to the account monthly over 36 months and if a device is paid off early the credits are forfeited.
I understand that you were advised otherwise and I am sorry for that the my peers shared the wrong details and set a poor expectation for you.
Unfortunately since the terms of the promotion are listed when approving the order for the services and device we are unable to provide any credits since the device has been paid off.
