Horrible customer service!!

On hold now for the 6th time. I'm trying to get my phone number from a recently canceled Xfinity account and ported over to my wife's account. This whole ordeal (too involved to explain now) has been going on for months! I've been repeatedly lied to, transferred to someone else who cannot/will not take ownership of the issue. I was involved with tech support with my previous company, had I treated customers like this, I would have been fired quickly! Xfinity- if you see this, please take note. if you are new- do yourself a favor, go to some other discount phone carrier, Xfinity does NOT have its act together!
