Misleading message
I received this text message June 27, 2025:
Xfinity Mobile: Great news! We are now giving you 20 GB/mo of prioritized data on this line at no extra cost, so you can get an even faster, more reliable connection. Just restart your phone and enjoy.

I interpreted this to mean we were given additional monthly data from 10 GB/month and therefore used mobile data more liberally. Today I received a message stating we've used more than 50% of our 10gb data and we're less than halfway thru our billing cycle. When I called the agent explained we don't have additional data only additional speed. This message is very misleading. As a result we'll likely incur additional charges by exceeding our allowable 10 GB shared data. I think this verbage should be reconsidered.

Howdy user_olwt8y 👋 I hope your day is treating you well, and appreciate you taking the time to share your concern with us regarding the Xfinity Mobile data update you received!
When it comes to that specific notice, it isn't communicating that 20G of additional data is being added to your current total data allotment, but rather that prioritized data refers to a feature that ensures a more reliable connection with reduced buffering and faster speeds, especially during busy network times whenever cellular data is being used.
Should you ever exceed your prioritized data limit, you can still use data without extra charges, but speeds may be reduced. To start using prioritized data, it's recommended that you restart your phone or toggle airplane mode on and off.
