Parting ways after 15 years
I’ve been with Xfinity for 15 years, and this was the final straw. They offered me a “free unlimited mobile line for a year” if I switched my phone service over with my internet. Sounded great—until I noticed I was getting billed.
I called three different reps, explained everything, and was finally told that because I had a mobile line with them years ago, I didn’t qualify. Instead of honoring the promotion, they slapped me with a $45/month charge. That’s not what I signed up for.
Before this, I had a great phone plan for $20/month. Had I known the “free line” wasn’t actually free, I never would’ve switched. After 15 years of loyalty, I’m done—canceling internet, mobile, everything. Dishonest promotions, terrible customer service. Don’t fall for it.

@user_ou8g89 Thanks for posting to the forum and letting us know what happened. I haven't heard of any restrictions for the mobile line: Returning customers, new customers, and even current customers can all get the home internet promotion that adds a free line of Xfinity Mobile for a year. I have heard of some instances however, where the credit making the line free can be delayed. We can help with that.
