Pixel 8 pro signal stuck on 2 bars

Right now I'm on one bar would think since I bought the phone from xm it will work with xm but that's not the case. Other places like NYC I get good signal but in my area where I'm mostly using the phone it is 1-2 bars not sure if it's the phone or the service was wondering how to fix this
