Potential scam & Inquiry about free 1-year plan
Hi, I received a phone call yesterday from [Edited: "Invalid Phone Number"].
The man on the line said that he is from Xfinity, and will help me activate my 1-year free plan that comes with my internet.
He asked me for my IMEI and address, and he sent me a link(https://t.xfin.me/XXXXXXXX).
I felt suspicious at the first place, but I told him my IMEI and address, and also clicked a link.
The website in the linked looked like a legitimate Xfinity website for me.
The linked asked for my birth date and SSN, but since I do not have my SSN yet, I couldn't proceed.
The man said he will figure out a way, and will call me back. But he didn't.
So was it a scam? I am very nervous about it...
Also, I have an inquiry about the 1-year free plan.
I figured out that I need SSN to claim my 1-year free plan.
I was told from Xfinity customer service that I have to activate my free plan within 90 days of my internet activation, which started a week ago.
I will get my SSN within a month, and I want to be sure that I can activate my free plan after getting my SSN.
Is 90 days true? I don't want to lose my free plan.
Thanks!

hello and thank you so much for taking the time to reach out about this plan concern and I would be curious about it as well. We will never call you directly with a "one-day" deal type of offer, so you did the right thing to reach out.
We do have a promotion going on with some of our internet plans where when you sign up you receive a free unlimited Xfinity Mobile line for 1 yr. New Unlimited mobile line must be purchased within 90 days (after your plan change) and a $25 one-time activation fee/line applies.
We can check this for you here, just send us a direct message with your full name and service address to get started!
