all my rules disappeared for five hours yesterday
This is the second time this happened to me in the past year. I chatted with a Home Security tech thru the Home app and her suggestion was to re-enter them. That is unacceptable. I have no way of knowing if there will be duplicates when the rules decide to show up again creating another headache not knowing if all rules will disappear if I deleted duplicates.
Another issue I had was logging into this community forum. I saw 401 error for three days. Then it was resoloved. I messaged a tech this morning and still haven't received a reply about it. I would like to give the feedback that rules on the automation tab can again be added/deletted and edited on the xfinity website in addition to smart phones and tablets. Also there needs to be a better way to message technical support than using Facebook Messenger or the chat on the website that just gives me an aritifial intelligence. Thank you.

lkpolovchik -
I expereinced a brief rules outage earlier this week too... but it seemd to be resolved after a few hours. Other than that, I've had dozens of rules created for many years, and rarely have issues.
I too miss the website and ability to create rules online. I consider myself a power user with rules though, and I've gotten most of what I want out of the newer Cloud Based rules system which our App leverages.
I don't believe that anything is in the works to bring rules management back to the Xfinity Home Portal, which used a legacy rules system. Sometimes features that a smaller portion of our customer base use are retired so we can focus on those that are loved by the larger audience.
The reality is that the vast majority of our users manage their Xfinity Home service through our mobile Apps, so that's where you will likely see most of the advanvcements continue to be incorporated. I do know some usability improvements are in the works - stay tuned!
An example of a usability improvement that just launched in the last couple of weeks is "Timeline" for 24/7 Video customers in the iOS version of the Xfinity App (previously known as the xFi App). Timeline incroporates many of the same features that are available on our Xfinity Home subscriber portal (easily scroll through 7 days worth of recordings, whether their was motion or not - with People, Vehicles, and Pets now marked by an icon).
Are there specific rules that you would like to run which you find you're no longer able to create using the App? If so please post them here. I can make sure to pass the feedback along to our developers!
