Email Account Unavailable

I suddenly no longer have access to an email account I've had for 20 years.  How can I recover access?  Where is the data stored so I can have it transferred if I cannot continue using it?  I have been consistently logging in and using it; this is not an issue of not being logged in for 90 days.  I would like to have a customer support phone line to discuss this with a human.
