in-private session required to login to forum and enable navigation buttons

A conventional browser session (Edge or Chrome) let's me login to the main Xfinity site functions, but not the forum. I can only login to the forum using a in-private session (Edge or Chrome). Once logged, in the functional buttons like move to next page or the "support" and "Offers" hyperlinks work. Browser caches and cookies were cleared as part of testing. What next to use normal browsing mode?
