Your Xfinity account is already linked to another Peacock account.

I previously had an Xfinity plan with Peacock. I moved and Xfinity was not offered here so that plan was cancelled. They recently installed fiber in my neighborhood, so I resubscribed. Now I get the "Your Xfinity account is already linked to another Peacock account." message whenever I try to activate the Peacock subscription.

Other threads had replies saying "click on the direct message icon in the top right corner of your forums page," but I've been all over this forum and don't see the link they're talking about.

Good evening @nantuket, and thank you for reaching out on our Community Forums regarding your Peacock concerns. We appreciate it, and welcome back! We’re glad to hear you've resubscribed to Xfinity.

We're happy to help troubleshoot the Peacock issue and, if necessary, get a ticket submitted for further investigation.

To help us better understand the situation, may I ask how long you were without active Xfinity service? Additionally, can you confirm whether you're receiving Peacock through your Xfinity Rewards membership or as part of your Xfinity service plan?

Once we have that information, we'll be happy to continue troubleshooting with you.

I moved in March and I believe my equipment was returned in April. 2-3 months is what I went without Xfinity as my provider. Peacock was a part of the service at my previous address, but it had not been for several months (maybe even a year).

Peacock is showing in my Xfinity account for the service at my new address. It has an "Activate" button and "Activation required" under status when logged in to the https://www.xfinity.com/yoursubscriptions page.

When I click activate, it takes me to the Peacock activation page. I sign in with my account and it gives me the error "Your Xfinity account is already linked to another Peacock account."

Got it, thank you for confirming that information @nantuket; I appreciate it.

If you were receiving Peacock Premium through Xfinity Rewards, it's possible that your Rewards tier reset, as Rewards tenure can reset after 90 days of account inactivity. However, if you're receiving Peacock as part of your Xfinity service plan, such as a qualifying Gig Internet plan, that would not apply and you should still be eligible to access the service.

Are you also able to try using a different email address to activate your Peacock subscription?

I have not tried to use a different email address, because I was trying to retain the same Peacock account. Everything implied that I would be able to activate it on my existing account.

I understand wanting to retain the same Peacock account @nantuket. Let's review your account further to see if we can get to the bottom of this or if we need to submit a ticket to our repair team for further assistance with getting this resolved. To get started, please send us a direct message with your full name and complete service address to “Xfinity Support”. To do so, click on the direct messaging icon located at the top right of this forums page.

Here's the detailed steps to direct message us:

  1. Click "Sign In" if necessary.
  2. Click the "Direct Messaging" icon.
  3. Click the "Start new conversation" (pencil and paper) icon.
  4. In the "To:" line, type "Xfinity Support".
  5. As you type, a drop-down list will appear. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list.
  6. An "Xfinity Support" graphic will replace the "To:" line.
  7. Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window.
  8. Press Enter to send it.

You can see how to send us a direct message here: https://forums.xfinity.com/conversations/guidelines/how-to-direct-messaging-within-the-forum/697ba1e570934d009185c514.
