4K Channels 1354 & 1355

This is a shot in the dark inquiry...

Those two 4K channels were added for the Super Bowl.  The only content they've ever had is that game and the Westminster Dog Show right around the same time in early February.  They're simply running a Fox Sports loop all the time.  Fox Sports has had plenty of 4K content since then, but none has been shown on those channels.

So, any idea whether we'll see anything beyond the promo loop?  The same thing happened with the channels added last year for the Players and the Olympics.  The channels stuck around for awhile with no content, then quietly disappeared.

@BIslander Thank you for reaching out today on the Xfinity Community forums. We are not aware of any changes being made to those channels at this time. If content becomes available it will be announced. We appreciate your feedback!

The two Big East semifinal games on Friday and the final on Saturday are now listed in the guide on 4K channels 1354 and 1355.  Those are the games being shown on the Fox broadcast network.  The Thursday quarterfinal games on FS1 are not listed on the actual 4K channels.   So, it appears 1354 and 1355 are only being used for 4K feeds of the broadcast network.

I think some of it was on broadcast, but don't recall the details.

@XfinityJustinC

why would anyone choose the NON enhanced/NON low Latency channel?

why do you have 2 channels showing the same thing?

Please check out the FAQ links from above for more.

4K HDR set top boxes are available for X1 (XG1v4 or Xi6) (you must also have a 4K television and 4K-capable HDMI cord to watch 4K programming). Xi6 and XG1v4 set top boxes as well as the Stream app support enhanced 4K with Dolby Atmos. Xi6 devices also support Dolby Vision. You can use your Xfinity Voice Remote to say "4K" (or search "4K") to be taken to a 4K UHD landing page that displays all 4K programming available.

When X1 or Flex is set up, it will automatically be set to the highest video output resolution possible for your TV, including 4K UHD. To make sure your box is set to 2160 resolution, say “device settings” into your voice remote and from there select “video display.” On X1 or Flex, if you choose to view On Demand content (for free, rental or purchase) that's available in 4K, playback will automatically default to the appropriate 4K color depth based on your TV’s capabilities.
