Any way to reduce the time the X1 info overlay appears on screen when doing a 30-second skip?

When watching recorded NFL football games on my Arris XG1v4 X1 DVR, I use the "30 second skip" feature a lot. When activating this feature, an information overlay appears on screen for a time, obscuring the game.

Is there any menu option or secret key command whereby I could significantly reduce the amount of time this overlay appears on screen?

Not the answers I was looking for, but great tips nonetheless!

so you are looking for a changeable setting?

the "secret key command" is to do either of the options above, a simple 1 button, easy peasy - and you can control EXACTLY when it goes away

what more than that do you want? You move your thumb maybe 1 CM and press another button

Yes, I was inquiring if the on-screen overlay time was changeable.

As you may know, the way to change the default "five minute skip" to "30-second skip" is a documented but not well known procedure.

I was simply looking to see if there was a similar procedure for adjusting the on-screen information overlay.

Hello @Ladd2 there's not a way to adjust that overlay, I wish there was. We can pass along your feedback, so there’s a chance this changes in the future.
