Cable box not responding

I am having trouble with a cable box not responding to the remote, it will not change channels, I have removed the power and let it reboot and gone through the trouble shooting bot twice and tried connecting two different remotes. It’s stuck on one channel and it’s shaded out with the channel information and time boldly displayed. I have tried to reach a person and so far no luck.

  •   Click the "Direct Message" icon
  •   Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
  •   The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there.
  •   - As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list.
  •   - An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line.
  •   Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
  •   Press Enter to send it
