Charged for a TV Box that I do not have.

Hello -

I noticed on my bill that I am being charged $14 per month for a TV Box that I do not have. I notified Xfinity and requested that the charge is removed as I have been apparently paying it for many years. So, the charge is now removed but I need to recover the cost of all the previous years $14 per month charges. Can someone advise me?

user_qm7rif Thank you for reaching out! I'm glad to hear you were able to have the charge, and equipment removed from your account. You may dispute charges on a bill or request billing credits, however per our Xfinity Residential Service Agreement you must contact us within 120 days of the date on your bill, or you waive any disputes or credits.

Yes, but I do not believe that Xfinity guidelines take precedence over state law. The charge was illegal, and should be refunded. If this cannot be settled equitably, I will consider changing to some other service provider. There are other choices nowadays.

We are happy to review the account to see how we can help. Please send us a DM with your name and address to get started. To send a "direct message" / "private message" message to Xfinity Support:
 • Click "Sign In" if necessary
 • Click the "Direct Message" icon
 • Click the "Start new conversation" (pencil and paper) icon
 • The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there
 • As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list
 • An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line
 • Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
 • Press Enter to send it
