DVR access on tv

two weeks ago on a Sunday night DVR stopped showing as enabled on tv menu.  I still have DVR service on line but not with remote on tv.  Talked to customer service for hours multiple times with no help.  Had a technician visit who said everything working fine and it is just an outage but no outage exists.  Why do I suddenly have no DVR access through tv?

Thanks for taking the time to post on our Xfinity Community Forums page, @user_wz8885. Are you still having DVR issues? If so what is happening exactly, are you not able set up new recordings, or access previous ones?

I cant access the DVR at all through the box, no service.  I have it online but can not set up recording from there just see things that are on DVR or scheduled.  The menue on TV from box says I need to subscribe.  Everyone I have called or talked to at store and the tech who came out gave no solution.  I guess I need another smarter tech to come out?  This has taken up more than 10 hours of my time so far.  Very unhappy.  It must have been turned off somewhere on the system.  I picked up a new box at the store and this did not fix the problem.
