DVR and Guide

My DVR is set to record only new episodes only of South Park on Comedy Channel, but the DVR is recording every episode.  The second problem is the Program Guide.  The Comedy Channel and TV Land are not showing any program descriptions in the Program Guide.  How do I fix these?  I tried doing a restart and a system refresh to no avail.  I went to connection status and it says that planned maintenance is scheduled to start tomorrow, but this has been going on for a couple of months with the Comedy Channel and more recently with TV Land.

@PT55 Thank you for taking the time to reach out to us here on our Xfinity Forums! I definitely understand the frustration if you are getting every episode of South Park instead of only new ones. I can also see how the program description not showing would be equally as frustrating if you are trying to see what episode something is. We appreciate you sharing the troubleshooting steps you have already done. To start with the DVR concerns, have you tried fully deleting the series recording and then setting it up again?
