DVR storage

We were given a new cable box to help solve picture issues and now the DVR capacity went way down. How can we get back to the capacity we had before. Were we not given the correct style of box?

user_3jrh0u Thank you for reaching out! Sorry to hear the DVR storage dropped after the box swap. DVR capacity can depend on both the type of TV box on the account and the DVR service level assigned to it. For Xfinity X1, each X1 DVR TV Box can store approximately 150 hours of HD programming, and customers with multiple X1 DVR boxes may have combined storage across those DVRs. We also offer additional Cloud DVR storage through Premium DVR service if more capacity is needed. I’d recommend checking the current DVR storage percentage by pressing the Xfinity button on the remote, then going to Saved > Recordings; the storage percentage should appear at the top right.

Do you happen to have the model number handy of the X1 TV box you received? Also, what TV plan do you have?
