DVR that doesn't require internet

I had to get new DVR because my old one wasn't working. They promised to send one that doesn't require internet because I don't want or have internet.  New one worked fine for couple weeks but then said looking for internet connection . I called Comcast and they reset and it worked 2 days and I'm getting same issue as before. It is XG1v4. Why is it looking for internet. Also saw on my account says X1 cloud DVR. So do I need a different DVR?

user_6glb7e  Hello! Thank you for reaching out. That is the model that should function without the internet. When you see the message about internet, can you click through that message, or does it prevent you from being able to watch/record?

I couldn't go anywhere. Remote buttons did nothing. Then a message with a restart button came up I did that still nothing so called again and they reset it.  Since then I have been googling because I realized it was happening in the middle of the night and TV was on. So last night I made sure TV and box off before the scheduled update which is set for 2-4 am and when I turned back on this morning everything is working as it should. So after reading others had problems after daily updates I'm thinking it was because my box and TV we're on when updated and somethingvwas glitching.  Will keep making sure off before update and hope my theory is correct. Thanks for your response
