DVR timing off by around a minute

I’ve tried to talk to a human about this but finally realize that’s impossible either through the app or on the phone. I’m a diamond member for 34 years.  My DVR timing has been off for around a year. My brother who lives in a different state is having the exact same problem.

 I didn’t try to get help before now bc I know my blood pressure spikes when I try to deal with Comcast.  Yet  I’m trying again with almost no hope that I’ll get help.  I’m 73 years old and do not want to set up a new DVR.

Someone was supposed to come to my home months ago to bring a new modem or whatever they are called. They never showed up and did not call to inform me they were not going to do so.  This has been a theme with Comcast.  I’m guessing no one cares enough to resolve this so I’m taking a next step if this doesn’t work. Just want proof I tried again.

@liliwings Good morning, and thank you for reaching out to us on our Xfinity Forums for help with the DVR timing being off. Thank you as well for having Xfinity for your services over the past 34 year! That's incredible, and I greatly appreciate you for sticking with us over all this time. My customers are important to me and if I can help out in any way to correct the timing for us, I will get it done!

I'm sorry to read that you have been dealing with the timing being off for so long, along with your brother. It's so annoying to miss the first part of a program, and I've even noticed the issues on my own DVR from time to time. But it was with a specific network. What I started to do was change my DVR recording start time whenever I scheduled a program for that network to help ensure I didn't miss a beat. For your DVR timing issue, does it seem to be associated to the same network or does it happen on all recordings?

@XfinityPaula

thank you for your reply.  I miss the last minute of EVERY show, as does my brother living in a different state.  We have unrelated Comcast accounts.  I have to manually extend EVERY show I watch. Without exception.  The shows start recording around a minute early and cut off around a minute early EVERY time.  I had to teach my brother's wife how to manually extend end time of every show she and he record.  This imo is unacceptable bc I record a lot of movies.  So I’m manually extending each one I record.  It happens with series but I only have to manually extend end time once for the series.  I’d appreciate not having to go through that process each time: record.  Then record options.  Then info button. Then record options. Then modify. Then scroll down to slelct end time. Then select 3 minutes. Then scroll up. Then select confirm.  Every time I record a movie or new show.  I’m looking for a suggestion. Thank you
