I’ve been experiencing the same issue all games yesterday and now today.  It’s 100% an Xfinity issue.  I’ve reset my box multiple times, have gone through the painfully unhelpful robot tech support to no avail.  The workaround if you don’t want to lose your mind in the short term is to use ESPN’s streaming app.  It has to be the ESPN App - They don’t compress the signal and I’ve had zero glitches since taking this action.  The downside is that I’m chewing through my internet data while paying for horrible cable TV service.

I too am experiencing issues with the ESPN channel freezing (not with any other channel), and I'm seeing it happen via both the Xfinity X1 box and Xfinity Stream.
