Guide Sluggish with Xi6-T

I have the Wireless Xi6-T box which seems better than the Hard Drive box (XG1v4) but notice when scrolling the main Guide up and down it very slow and sometimes unresponsive almost like it can get stuck or freeze. Also using the Wired Ethernet connection and have unpaired and repaired XR15 remote. Is this normal with this box. Also, I have 1 Gig speed plan internet and signal is strong.

Hello, @user_1002191 ! Thanks for reaching out! While the Xi6-T is a snappy little box for streaming and IP-based content compared to traditional DVRs, running into a sluggish or freezing on-screen guide, especially with a strong 1 Gig connection, can definitely be frustrating. Since you've already tried troubleshooting the remote and verified your network connection, here are a few additional steps you can try to help smooth out the guide performance:

Perform an X1 System Refresh:

This will reboot the box, refresh the device firmware, and clear out cached guide data. You can trigger this right from your box by navigating to Settings > Device Settings > System Refresh.

Power Cycle the Device:

Unplug the power cord from the back of your Xi6-T box, wait about 10 to 15 seconds, and plug it back in.

Check the Ethernet Cable:

Even though you have a solid wired connection, try swapping out the Ethernet cable just in case intermittent packet loss or a failing cable is delaying how fast the guide grid populates data.

Check Gateway/Modem Signal:

Since the Xi6-T relies entirely on a stable IP connection to pull guide graphics and metadata, double-check that your gateway isn't experiencing temporary upstream drops or high latency.

Let us know if a system refresh or power cycle helps clear up that lag when scrolling!
