Help with remote

The Welcome screen comes on and then the language selection screen comes on but I can’t enter anything on that screen

Is the remote lighting up when the buttons are pushed?

the remote light is red when I push buttons. I got the extra box because I was sick and wanted to sleep upstairs. The first box didn’t work so I made a second trip to the Xfinity store and got a replacement. I spent almost an hour and a half on the phone with a tech and they weren’t able to get it working. I’m sick so I don’t want a technician coming to the house. I’m going to return the box but I won’t be able to do that until the 17th. I would really like to not be charged for the box because it never worked and I made two trips to the store and the phone call.

user_lco92l I'm sorry for all this trouble, especially while you are sick. I hope that you feel better soon and are on the mend. With the LED light showing red it is indicating that it hasn't been paired with the device. I know you already worked with someone with no resolution, but I'm happy to try as well. Anything to save you another trip and give you come comfort. On the back of the remote new the battery cover is there a model like XR-15 labeled? Or you can check out our options here: https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/remote-controls and let me know what model you have.

If it's easier, I can also ship you a new cable box and make sure that your account is adjusted for the charges of the cable box that is not working. 

Another amazing option, if you happen to have it available in your home is to use the Xfinity Stream app. It's available on your mobile devices, but also on some smart TV's, Roku and Amazon fire devices as well as Chromecast and apple airplay.
