Live tv pixelating

Why does live tv pixelate but streaming and recordings play okay?  Just changed from 1080p tv boxes to 4k boxes.  

pixelating happens on multiple channels but seems to be only live tv.

Good evening @user_5rpelv, and thank you for reaching out on our Community Forums with your pixelation issues. I see that you stated it is only happening on live TV but on multiple channels. We're happy to help run through some troubleshooting steps.

 

To start, have you checked that all cable connections are securely tightened? Have you also tried power cycling your cable box by unplugging it for about one minute and then plugging it back in?

same issue here in San Francisco. the network channels of 702, 703, 705, 707 all distorted and pixellated, audio and other channels are fine. multiple box resets, check cables and on-line tech reboot. after over an hour with chat tech who assured me the problem would be fixed by the next day the problem persists. waiting for further comcast response to resolve the issue. this forum and other on-line sources have scores of complaints about this issue.
