Misnamed program causing DVR errors

We have had our DVR programmed to record “This Week with George Stephanopoulos”, at 8:00 am PDT every Sunday on channel 707 in San Rafael, CA 94901 for a few years.  Recently, instead of the 8:00 am broadcast the DVR has recorded a rebroadcast of the show at 12:01 am the next day.  The problem appears to be that the 8:00 am version is misnamed in the program guide as “Good Morning America” and the DVR does not recognize it as the “This Week . . .” program that is actually being broadcasted at that time.  Please re-label the 8:00 am broadcast correctly as “This Week . . .”  so that the DVR will recognize it and we can watch the recorded version later on Sunday rather than having to wait until the next day.

Thank you for your help.

Good afternoon @user_b0kf7a. If you tune into the live broadcast on that channel, does it play the correct show?

Yes, the correct program is broadcast at the correct time.  It just has the wrong name on the guide and therefor doesn’t record on the DVR.

Thank you for confirming. In a case like this, XFINITY provides the guide information based on the programming schedules we receive. If the guide is incorrect, it is due to the wrong information being sent to us. I would recommend reaching out to ABC to report the discrepancy. Let us know what they say when you do.
