New DVR box, delay ff/rew

After changing out subscription, Xfinity sent a new DVR box.  It installed okay, but there is an unacceptable delay fast-forwarding or rewinding on recorded programs When the ff button is pressed there is a 3-second delay before fast forwarding begins.  Also, skip forward 30 seconds has unacceptable delay.
