New TV No Cable Signal
I just had to buy a new TV. I bought a Samsung 50" Q8F. I connected everything and the TV claims the cable box is not on when it is on. I can connect the xfinity streaming app just fine, but that takes a while to boot up. I have powered off the cable box and TV a few times each, but nothing seems to be working. My other HDMI devices connect just fine. I have even moved the HDMI devices around to see if it was a bad port.

Congrats on the new TV @user_uoqshz, I hope you have been able to enjoy your some of your favorite shows with the Xfinity stream app in the meanwhile. Fortunately I know the feeling of getting a brand-new TV, and facing some troubles with getting things set up as normal, so I will shed some light on a few things that have helped me.
Firstly, a lot of TV brands make a habit of having their HDMI ports spread out amongst the sides/backs of the TV, this can become an issue because the intuitive numbering of these ports tends to be quite different from what you think. I would make sure to get a flashlight so that you can see exactly what number HDMI port you are using and make sure that corresponds with the input selected on the TV.
HDMI cords also tend to feel much stronger than they are, I would make sure to test out one of the other HDMI cords that is working with the other devices on the cable box just to eliminate that as a possible factor in the equation.
Make sure the HDMI cord is snug into the port, I myself have a monitor that makes me feel like I am going to possibly break my wrist when trying to find the right angle to plug in the HDMI connector.
Lastly, I know that swapping out a TV can require you to unplug and move some things around. Please make sure that the coax cable is also fastened, but not over tightened.
Please let me know if any of these pro-tips helped.👍
