user_b9ewkt That is not the experience we want any customer to have, and we do have accessibility features and customization options available for the X1 boxes that may help. To start to limit the channels, I use the Favorite option. You can go through the normal guide with them and mark their must-have options as a favorite. Then You can limit the guide using the filter options to only show the favorite options. I know there are a lot of channels, and if you think there may be a better lineup that fits their needs, you can check them out here

I would be happy to help get them into one that may better fit their current needs.

As for the info on screen during channel changes, are you speaking of the black info panel that pops up at the bottom of the screen?

I took your advice.

I found the favorites list is not surf-able using ' Channel +/- ' on the remote.

Elderly people are unable to use complex remotes.

The next comment is going to get to the heart of the matter.

You and I are aware streaming is replacing traditional cable watching.

People would come running back to cable if [Edited: "Language"].

If Xfinity made cable TV fun again people would watch for hours.

Imagine kicking back in a cozy recliner.

The cable box optional channel addition/deletion function is a brand new feature.

Now after a hard day of work a person can relax and channel surf like the old days.

Channel surf only the chosen 'favorites"

Not from the favorites menu but from the main set up.

How would other channels ever stand a chance at being seen ever again if they are blocked you ask?

Simple. The cable box programming is all new will a suggestions feature.

Every 20th channel I surf past displays a 'suggested channel"

Xfinity can choose if random channels are suggested or channels suggested by algorythm.

But mark my words!!! If Xfinity made watching TV a pleasure again, they will reap big benefits.

Right now the surfing experience [Edited: "Language"]to put it plainly..

Improve your product.

You are a sweetheart, :) but this message is for them.
